Variety of antique items to go on sale

OLD Johannesburg Warehouse Auctioneers will be hosting an online auction with 1 200 lots to choose from today and tomorrow from 9am.

The auction will feature Continental, Africana and modern furniture, silver, collectables, carpets, ceramics, books, jewellery and more.

Also on offer will be traditional and contemporary South African art by the likes of Frans Claerhout, Mihaela Ioana Atomic, Zerk de Villiers and Maud Sumner.

In addition, the Winelands branch is gearing up for a four-day online auction from October 1 to 4, each day starting at 9am.

The sale will feature, among others, 18th and 19th Century furniture, mid-century and Chinese furniture, enamel signs, collectable bicycles, antiques, art, jewellery, ceramics and silver and more. There will also be a vintage toy section on October 4.

Also going under the hammer will be a 1974 Chevrolet C10 Custom stepside, 2002 Jaguar XJ8 Sovereign and a 1962 Rambler American Prototype.

Viewing will be open on Friday September 30, from 9am until 5pm and the public can view the items at The Old Tannery, Wellington, Hermon Road. Staff will be on site to assist. The catalogues will be online soon.
