The series takes a candid look at people’s approach to love and sex, and what the love and sex they’re drawn to reveals about them. At the centre of the raunchy scenes is Leila, played by Desiree Akhavan. Leila finds herself in a relationship with a neurotic novelist Gabe, a man she rents a room from after breaking up with her girlfriend of 10 years, Sadie, played by Maxine Peake.
