YEMEN INTERNET BLACKOUT
A SAUDI-led coalition bombarded
Yemen’s Hodeida overnight, taking out a telecommunications hub and triggering a nationwide internet blackout, reports said on Friday. The government coalition fighting the Iran-backed Houthi rebels said they targeted a “hub for organised crime” in the city, whose port is a lifeline for the country. This comes after the Houthi rebels hijacked a UAE ship in the Red Sea. The rebels then struck oil facilities and the airport in Abu Dhabi, killing three people and wounding six others. |
