‘And Just Like That’ the wait is almost over

DEBASHINE THANGEVELO

SINCE word got out of the Sex and the City sequel, fans have been chomping at the bit for it to finally arrive on the small screen.

Well, the wait is almost over.

This week, M-Net confirmed And Just Like That will be premiering on the channel next month.

The spin-off series follows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis), who are now in their 50s and navigating the challenges of life through their strong bond of sisterhood.

What really got fans talking was the exclusion of Kim Cattrall, who played the sassy and sexuallycharged Samantha Jones.

Although speculation has been rampant about there being some beef between Cattrall and Parker, Parker was quick to shut down such talk.

But the writers have made painstaking efforts to ensure fans don’t feel short-changed by adding wonderful guest cameos, the most notable being Sara Ramirez as Che Diaz, a non-binary, queer stand-up who hosts a podcast where Carrie is a regular guest.

And John Corbett (Aidan), Chris Noth (Mr Big), David Eigenberg

(Evan Handler) Steve Brady (Harry Goldenblatt) are also returning.
