Award for Best Performance by an Actor for his portrayal of serial killer Dennis Nilsen in Des, a gripping three-part true crime drama. In

1983 Scottish serial killer Nilsen was arrested after the discovery of human remains which had blocked a drain near his London home. The police try to secure a conviction and identify the victims, while a biographer begins a game of chess with ‘Des’ in an attempt to understand his motives.
