Wide range of gifts to be found at end-of-year sale

OLD JOHANNESBURG Warehouse Auctioneers Paarl is hosting its last auction of the year from Friday to Sunday next week, starting at 9am.

English, Continental, Africana and mid-century furniture; Ardmore pieces; gold coins; carpets; rare Daum and Zsolnay Pecs vases as well as ceramics will come under the hammer.

“This auction also has one of the largest silver collections to come on to the market,” the auction house says.

There will be 250 lots of traditional and contemporary art. Jewellery; watches and designer handbags and sunglasses are scattered throughout. A stand-out items is a Lacloche Freres platinum and diamond bracelet.

“With just under 2 000 lots going on auction, this is a fantastic solution for Christmas shopping,” the auction house says.

Viewing is on Thursday and Friday from 9am to 4pm at Toeka Warehouse, Estate Brahms, Windmeul. Catalogues are online and pre bidding is available for a week before the sale.
