Gifts that keep giving

RAWSON Auctions Western Cape will be hosting two auctions on August 24.

In the first, a sunny, secure unit in Tyger Waterfront will go under the hammer and, in the second, a selection of artworks by prominent artworks will be auctioned for charity.

The charity auction, in aid of The Gift of the Givers, will take place at the Vineyard Hotel from 6.30pm to 8.30pm and will feature artworks such as Bo-Kaap by Derric van Rensburg, Sofia Loren by Monique Koning and Yellow Flowers by Monique Koning.

The Gift of the Givers founder, Dr Imtiaz Sooliman, will be the guest speaker at the event. Dr Sooliman will discuss the topic “Active Citizenry – the means to save South Africa”.

“We are thrilled to be working with The Gift of the Givers founder, Dr Sooliman, and the three immensely talented and skilled artists for this event. The humanitarian efforts being achieved by The Gift of the Givers are incredibly important and Rawson Auctions are honoured to help facilitate this auction which will aid in their much-needed work,” says Tanya Jovanovski, the franchisee of Rawson Auctions in the Western Cape.

Access to the event is by invitation only, but the public are more than welcome to bid on the items online via Rawson Auction’s bidding platform onlinepropertyauctions.co.za.

In the second auction, at noon, a 63m² apartment in Waterfront Cascades will go under the hammer.

The apartment is fibre-ready and comprises two bedrooms with built-in cupboards and fitted blinds; a bathroom with toilet, hand basin, and shower; a large open-plan lounge and dining area which leads out to a balcony; and a fitted kitchen with hob, extractor fan, under-counter oven, a fridge, washing machine, and small dishwasher. The kitchen also comes with an eat-in counter for four.

The unit has views of Tyger Waterfront from the balcony, lounge and main bedroom, as well as plenty of natural light through large windows and sliding doors.

Waterfront Cascades grants residents access to communal gardens and a secure parking garage – in addition to security features such as key-tag access to the main gate, remote access to the garage, 24-hour guards, and a CCTV system, and security gates on all apartments.

It is close to shopping centres, amenities and transportation routes.
