SING 2 will be released on Christmas Eve and is described as the ultimate classic Christmas movie. The film combines dozens of classic rock and pop hit songs, performances, breathtaking artistry and Illumination’s signature humour and heart, making it the feelgood cinematic event of the year.

This holiday season, Illumination’s animated franchise arrives with big dreams and spectacular hit songs as an optimistic koala named Buster Moon and his all-star cast of performers prepare to launch their most dazzling stage extravaganza. The group, however, face a hiccup when they first have to persuade the world’s most reclusive rock star to join them.

Buster, who is played by Oscar winner Matthew McConaughey, has turned the New Moon Theatre into a local hit, but he has his eyes on a bigger prize: debuting a new show in at the Crystal Tower Theatre glamorous Redshore City.

The film is perfect for movie, theatre and pop-culture fans, as it follows Buster's dream of big-time success turning into an emotional reminder of the power of music to heal.

SING 2 is written and directed by acclaimed film-maker Garth Jennings and features new characters played by music superstar Pharrell Williams, Black Panther’s Letitia Wright and comedians Eric Andre and Chelsea Peretti.

The film is produced by Illumination founder and chief executive Chris Meledandri and by Janet Healy.
