Tebogo’s Worst Day at School

GRADE 5 pupils from Rustenburg Girls’ Junior School, Lucy Midlane, Anna Bradshaw, Jemma Douglas and Qhayiya Mbebe all got together to write a piece titled “Tebogo’s Worst Day at School” for the journal this week.

Tebogo woke up with a jump. He realised that he was late for school and in a flash, he grabbed a banana and raced out of the house. He flew through the school gates and collapsed into his seat. Tebogo settled down and glanced around him. All his classmates were whispering and giggling behind their hands. He walked up to his friend and asked what was going on.

“Ummm… look down,” was all Kelly said, laughing. Tebogo got such a fright when he noticed that he was still wearing his pink, fluffy pyjamas!

He burned with embarrassment through a few painful lessons and walked solemnly out to break. He sat down and peeled his banana only to find it was vrot! He was fuming. From that day onward, he swore to never buy “on sale” bananas or alarm clocks again.
