Family time at the movies

THERE’S a new animated film out in cinemas called Luca which is perfect for the whole family.

Luca is a colourful adventure set in Italy, full of high jinks, friendship, laughs and surprises.

The Disney and Pixar production is a fun, heartwarming story about friendship and stepping out of your comfort zone, as two teenage sea monsters experience a life-changing summer. It involves a boy experiencing an unforgettable summer filled with gelato, pasta and scooter rides.

Luca shares these adventures with his new-found best friend, Alberto.

“This movie is about the friendships that change us,” said director Enrico Casarosa.

“Luca is a shy, polite, introverted, rule-following kid who has a secret desire to see the world and learn all he can,” said screenwriter Jesse Andrews.
