Labour protest

SEVERAL labour organisations are gearing up for a major solidarity action tomorrow on Clover companies and stores stocking the company’s products, as a protracted strike for wage increments and against retrenchments goes into its 10th week. The SA Federation of Trade Unions, the Food and Allied Workers Union and the General Industrial Workers Union, along with the National Union of Metal Workers, have resolved to protest at various embassies. Clover has proposed wage cuts of more than 20%. |
