Covid-19
SOUTH Africans appear to have taken heed of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s call to vaccinate as more than 110 000 people in South Africa have received the Covid-19 jab since Monday.
More than 30 000 vaccines were administered in Gauteng, which has seen the biggest spike in infections.
In an address to the nation on Sunday night, Ramaphosa urged South Africans to get vaccinated amid a looming fourth wave and the discovery of the new Omicron variant.
