MUCH-loved South African gospel artists Sbu Noah, Ayanda Ntanzi, Hle and Thinah Zungu are headlining one of South Africa’s biggest Gospel and soul concerts, Soul Inspired.

Presented by Kay 959 and SPAR, the virtual concert will take place on Sunday, and is free of charge.

The aim of Soul Inspired has always been to uplift many hearts via music. However, this year, they will be giving back to the community.

“This year, the platform will be used for much more than that. It will be used to support the Leratong Joy for One Foundation. The orphanage, in Alexandra, Joburg, will benefit as viewers are encouraged to make financial donations to the foundation.

“The monies will be used to provide the children with better learning opportunities, a healthy, clean and safe environment, and so much more,” read a statement from the organisers.

Noah, a TV presenter and songwriter, will serenade audiences with the most popular songs from his debut album #ADavidKindOfPsalm!

He will also give them a taste of the new music he’s working on.

“It’s been almost three years since my debut album, and people have been calling for new music. After the release of the EP, preparations for a live recording will resume so people can expect a new album scheduled for release in 2022. But I hope they’ll show their support as soon as the EP is out …” says Noah.

He will close the year by performing at various places throughout the festive season.

“I have quite a number of performances lined up and will also be recording an EP due for release in the next few weeks. I hope people can follow me on my social media to see where I’ll be performing, but I’m excited to be back on stage, doing what I love and having our fans there enjoying the ministry, he adds.

Hle, real name Hlengiwe Ntombela, says she will be performing songs from her album titled Your Kingdom on Earth.

The former member of the gospel choir Joyous Celebration says she has lots of surprises for her fans next year.

To close off the year, she will be spending the holidays with her family.

“I will be with my family in Ghana. But I plan to make sure that next is entirely on God’s lead.

“Over the last year or two, we were grappling, trying to figure out situations that got more impossible, but now we have to learn to submit and hand it over to God. He knows and sees all but can only do so if we give him the place to,” she adds.

Ntanzi, who will be performing songs from his new album, According to Grace, promises lots of fun, crazy worship and praise. He says he might close off the year by going on a holiday with his family.

Meanwhile, Zungu says his fans can expect a lot of spirit-filled music and worship. Zungu didn’t record any new music due to the pandemic, but he is adamant that his fans will enjoy the classics he’ll be presenting.

“I will be singing praise songs, and my focus is to thank God for keeping us and share hope with the viewers. I will be sticking to the ‘classic’ songs that I released from the beginning of my career. I will be performing them more excitingly and differently, so be on the lookout for that,” explains Zungu.

He adds that he will be closing the year with a bang as he is booked all over.

Next year, he will stage a live recording that he’s currently preparing.

“It’s going to be a great year and I’m excited about my second live recording,” he adds.

The concert starts at 12pm on Sunday.
