The guest house is on the outskirts of Franschhoek, and is a working grape, olive and fig farm where guests can wake to the sounds of birds, or hear the calls of owls as they set off for their nocturnal hunts.

The gardens are bursting with spring growth and right now many of the indigenous plants are in bloom.

Take your time, relax on your verandah with a cup of tea or in the evening, savour an excellent glass of local wine as the sun sets. You will have time to reflect. Staff will personally discuss the specials with you: think eggs Benedict, grilled handmade bacon and halumi with avocado and roasted tomatoes, and other seasonal treats.

All produce is either home-grown or locally sourced.

The breads are artisanal, the cheeses from small producers and the preserves made on the premises with farm produce. Only quality teas and coffees are served.

Fransvliet is fully Covid -19 compliant and observes the required safety protocols, with suites being sanitised daily with hospitality-approved products. Staff wear masks at all times, and are highly hygiene aware. Giveaway:
